new pieces and what to do on a rainy day

I just finished two more stacked flowers for the artefacts shop.

It has been raining for days. And it is cold. We had planned to go to a garden show yesterday, as it was a holiday, but it rained all day - so we didn't. It is still raining. Well, I can work on my jewelry. But the cats are fed up with getting soaking wet when they go outside. And they are restless. They want to play.

So, what to do on a rainy day? Captain found this entertaining for a while:

What is he playing with? Well, a while back I got a package from Pattie - and in it was a tiny little doll from Mexico. Captain pulled the little doll out of my goodies and has been playing with it ever since. It's his favorite toy. And a paper bag is just irresistable for a cat. Even better than a cardboard box.

Hope the sun is shining for you, where ever you are!

Friends

You know how you often read about how the internet and the computer isolate us? Well, I guess in some cases it may be true. Those people probably don't have a blog.
Since I started blogging just over a year ago, I have met so many of you wonderful people here. Something I am very thankful for. And I have found friends, that I would never have met any other way.

Such as Pattie, who lives way down in Mexico, where they don't have snow... sigh! Pattie and I decided to trade some of our "stuff" and this is what she sent me:

Sea shells, mermaid's tears, lotteria cards, some Mexican fabric, milagros...

and an intriguing little bundle, so beautifully wrapped.

Which contained this wonderful necklace Pattie made for me, to remind me of the beach. She knows I love the beach.

Isn't it lovely! Thank you sooooo much, Pattie!!! You are such a good friend!

Casanova, dosing in the sun.

Captain, taking a sun bath.
My kitties decided to take advantage of the sun this morning. How right they were!
It is snowing again now...

Love the inspiration of those early autumn colours just outside my studio!

Happy 4th of July weekend over there!

Captain
Introducing Bigfoot. Will you look at that swollen paw? Honest, it is about double the size of the other! I took him to the vet's yesterday, but the doc says we have to wait for this to break open. We have already tried everything else we can. He has something in his paw, has had for quite some time, a thorn or who knows what. And it keeps causing an infection, but we need to get whatever it is out. But the doc doesn't want to cut him open, for fear of damaging nerves or sinews. So, all I can do is hope... Captain doesn't let it bother him too much - he is outside all day, catching mice and other things; getting in cat fights and just enjoying himself.

I am a bit under the weather myself. My husband likes to share everything with me - this week, it was his cold! Thank you, dearest!

Please don't forget to go over to Objects and Elements and vote for your favorite clasp!

Pardon me, sniffle, I have to go and make some more hot lemonade...

How about a tummy rub?

Captain
Meet one of my fabulous feline friends - Captain - who shares my life and obviously also my workspace. Now, is this a new project on my work table? Or just someone that wants some love and attention? What do you think?

Nesting
Not to worry - I didn't steal this nest from some poor little bird. I found the empty nest years ago. Inside are some polymer clay eggs I made yesterday and I just couldn't help myself, I had to take a picture of them in the nest. I am so longing for spring. This morning we have been having snow flurries.
