Max, my husband, is currently in South Africa. Some of you might have heard that the Soccer World Championships are being held there. He is part of an enormous team of television professionals, who will ensure that people at home will be seeing the games and the interviews and all the rest.
He is currently in Johannisburg and is lodging at the Ilali Guest House. Now, believe me, Max has seen a great many hotels and guest houses due to his work. But I don't think I have ever heard him so excited and enthusiastic before. He only got there yesterday and has already sent me pictures. Which I would like to share with you, because it really does look fantastic.
So, have a look at the Ilali Guest House.
This last is my favorite photo - got to love the crystal prisms on the candelabra.

how exciting... and how wonderful that he knew how much you would love the last photo... keep sharing!
That truly is lovely accomodation. I can see why Max is so enthusiastic. Does it make you wish you were there, just lounging about? Does me!
Wow! I think we all would like to stay there.
Thank you for sharing these amazing photos- a little glimpse into a unique and exotic place!
Wie cool ist das denn bitte. Bei der WM vor Ort! Und die Bilder und das Hotel sind grandios. Kann er wenigstens Sonntag das Spiel der Deutschen sehen? LG Stefanie
Fabulous decor - love the artistic nuances. I certainly would love to experience that ambience.
Ohhhh, I am drooling!! What an experience for him....and it's like you are almost there too!
Wow, Max must be having the time of his life. So far from home and working on such an exciting project - in an incredible locale. Hope you and the kitties are doing well back at home.
Incredible! He must really love his job.

What a scrumptious looking house. It must be beautiful for Max to be so excited. Thank you for sharing.
South Africa rocks! I've been there many times, and was always wowed by the scenery, the weather, the people, the decor (wonderful melding of all local cultures and a little European too), and the food too. Charming, utterly unique places like this guesthouse abound. The hospitality is unmatched. There are small towns everywhere, as well as the larger cities, that offer little gems like these. I would highly recommend a South African vacation!
What an amazing place...I can see why he was so excited!
Captain Morgan is moving in tomorrow, I can't wait to bring him home. His new brothers are in for a rude awakening.
Hello
It all looks so amazing, don't you wish that you were there?
To answer your question about my journals I buy composition books at Office Max, so the inner pages are lined notebook pages. I cover the inside of the covers with old music paper and then put pockets and I use bookbinders glue so the covers stay straight
I hope you have a lovely Sunday
Blessings
Rebecca
