I know, I know. It has been a week - again - since I was last here. Life keeps getting in the way. More vet visits with Ghost - we are now waiting for laboratory results. But things don't look so good.
The weather is wonderful today - sunny and a high of 16°C (thats about 60°F). Max didn't have to work today, so we started out on a flea market trip - just a couple of very small flea markets that are located a bit further away. And didn't I find some goodies!
Seen in the first village we visited. The windows in this roof remind me of eyes.
Some vintage lace.
Max found this tiny little suede leather change purse for me. It is only about 2 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches big. I love it!
And this is what was inside of it! Strike!
Some very vintage crocheted lace doilies. Perhaps for use in future cuffs?
A lovely old brush. I couldn't resist.
An old rhinestone focal - probably for use with a scarf - to be repurposed. And a hand carved bone edelweiss blossom. Very Bavarian.
I am quite happy with my finds. Hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday.

What a wonderful little leather purse and to find treasures inside, that makes it extra special. I love the laces, they will make beautiful cuffs.
great finds - and i hope your news on ghost goes well... she is so very lucky to have you (and yet animals always make us feel so very lucky to have them, don't they?)

Freaky...those dormers...I'd always feel like someone was watching me...they DO look like eyes! Great score on the change purse! Poor Ghost...Best wishes to both of you.
That roof is so cool Renate! Sorry to hear about ghost, I will be sending him prayers. I lost my Ike, my jack russell of 12 years a week ago and I am so heartbroken.
Those flea market finds are beautiful...the purse and medals are exquisite!
THere is a blog called Faces In Places that posts pictures of faces found in objects. You should submit this to them!
I love all your finds. I wish that there was a flea market around here closer!
Enjoy the day!

Great finds! You are having some nice crisp air, today it was 94 degrees.
I can't believe you scored those great things in the coin purse! So cool!
What beautiful finds at the flea market, Renate! I think that little coin purse is my favorite - and how amazing that there were some treasures inside. I do hope little Ghost is doing alright. At least she is in loving hands with you!! Love, Silke
What a great day to be out and about searching for treasures. Love your finds, especially the old lace. I hope your nice weather continues...here in the US it seems the hot summer hasn't left us just yet.

Renate, sounds like another great trip to the flea market!
I am sorry about poor Ghost. It makes me happy to know though that he has a guardian angel like you giving him so much love and attention. I just know he appreciates you so much!
What a great day for treasures! My favorite is that old brush!
What great finds!
Oh my gosh what a gold mine you struck!!!
Hermanita you need to check to see if the edelweiss is ivory rather then bone. I have one that is identical to yours. Although it's ivory not bone! These were carved before the sale of ivory was outlawed.
