This morning, after getting the fire going and putting out the daily two pounds of assorted bird seed, raisons and peanuts in the shell for my feathered friends, I scraped the frost off of my car windows and drove to the flea market on roads that went from snow covered to almost clear. This is most likely the last flea market I will see for a while - definitely the last in this year. By the time I got there, quite a bit of snow was coming down. The turn out was somewhat disappointing and who knows what treasures I missed, either because the tables were covered with plastic tarp to keep everything dry or everything was already covered by a layer of snow.
I did manage to find a few goodies, though.
Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday - slow down and enjoy the season. Oh and - could somebody have a cup of eggnog for me?

Die Chandeliers sind wundervoll. Hier schneit es wie bekloppt. Oh, mann!
gorgeous lace, Renate. I will love to see what you might use it for!
Happiest of Holidays to you, no eggnog here for us but perhaps a glass of champagne?

beautiful - i just looked on google maps and the radar is white for miles... just read about all of the airport closings in europe...
i found silk egg nog - will toast a cup to you this afternoon!
Lovely finds. And a Sunny Sunday here. Hope you all get some better weather soon.
Brrr... I'm shivering! Snow covered flea market tables! Brrrrr!
No eggnog here, but what about a glass of hot spiced wine? After reading your post, I think I'll have some ;)
How about an eggnog latte, I'm going for coffee with a friend this afternoon and will drink to you.
You did manage to get some nice finds...I love the filigree pieces and the old chandelier glass pendants.
I love eggnog, yum, you got me in the mood for some!
I've had so much egg nog....I just love it. I actually received a recipe for it this year but have not tried that yet. Glad you were able to find some goodies at the flea market. Happy Sunday, Renate!
Oh yes Renate, you made out! These are wonderful goodies, can't wait to see what you make. I'm drooling! Hugs, Riki
Hallo Renate, was für schöne Sachen. Bin schon gespannt, was daraus entsteht.
i'd say it was worth the trek!
At least the trip out wasn't a total wash...you did score some great finds!
Love the chandelier pieces! Congrats on the finds :)
Lovely treasures you have acquired. May you have a safe and joyous holiday season.
Hermanita,
All in all a pretty good haul for a dismal day at the flea market!!
Tell your hubs I have lots of chili seeds (different kinds)and a couple of surprises to send him the next time I can tag onto a Mule run :)
Surgery went great, I still have my sight and my close up vision!! Doc took the patch off today in his office(yep on a Sunday)and I'm now on the eyedrop rest eye and no mascara regime. LW is thrilled with the no mascara rule cuz he knows I will be staying at home!! He knows that I don't ever go out without my mascara on!! It would scare small animals and kids to death..."hey mom look at that lady, she hasn't got any eye lashes" :)

Oh, diese Perlmuttschnallen sind ja toll!
Ich kann Tauwetter melden, wobei immer noch weißes Zeugs vom Himmel kommt. Es ist noch nicht sicher, ob wir weiße oder grüne Weihnachten haben werden.
Such lovely treasures! Thank you for sharing these all the time. Makes me wish that there were fun flea markets in my area! Or maybe that I had someone to go with me!
Enjoy the day!
Erin
