something finished and something in the works...

I'm not flea marketing today - I am in the studio - but I promised I would come out more often, so here I am.
Just wanted to show you a finished piece.

A freeform focal featuring a prong set pebble (might be serpentine, but I am not sure) from the beach in Tuscany; combined with large new jade beads and hand made chain links.

This is what I am working on now. Dapped copper with handmade bezel and soldered brass. I still have a long way to go on this piece, but it is already telling me a story... sorry, have to get back to the studio.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!

Very nice work Renate....I really like the scrolling in the dapped copper piece. Bet it will be a beautiful piece when it is finished.

If this new piece is already telling you a story, little wonder you needed to get back to the studio. I'm loving it just how it is...which makes me eager to see the story when it is finished!

Drawn to the combination of the green stones, copper wire and copper spiral holding the stone.

The free form work is beautiful.

I have to say I am really drawn to the piece in progress, Already looks wonderfully aged and art nouveau in in style.

Isn't it wonderful to be working in your studio, even if it may not be spring yet, I'm sure the time flies as you are working away. Beautiful pieces you have done.

Your 'work in progress' bezel is stunning. Love the broken fragments of pattern and the patina.

Stories of Tuscany. Lovely. The soft green of the beads complements the stone beautifully. The piece in the process is looking good. A story unfolding. Enjoy your studio time - it looks as if you are anyway, Renate.

Hermanita,

How perfect your freeform focal is!! You have combined the metal with the stone in such a way that you see the positive energy of one flowing into the other. As if they are just different forms created of the same natural world. I love to watch you create with your exotic found beach stones

I can't wait to see the finished story you will tell with your new copper piece!!

I'm so excited, Deryn is here and we will be getting together later in the week! I can't wait!!

Your work is unique and wonderful. I find myself so much more drawn in when I see jewelry made of natural stones or metals, like silver, copper or bronze.

When I pick up such pieces, I feel I can sense energy...I am not sure if it is the energy from the designer or the materials...

What a feast for my eyes...you are so talented.

Jade, Kiesel und Kupfer ergeben ein ziemlich geheimnisvolles Trio, das hat viel Ausstrahlung. Wunderbar.
