spring rain

We finally received some rain - it has been quite a while since it really rained here and everything was way too dry. The early crops were already beginning to fail - seems there is a problem every year in spring now. Either too cold, hailstorms, too dry... it is always something.
But now we did get some rain - not enough - but we can still hope for more. Everything in my garden got washed and now it seems so incredibly green. And the spring flowers...

Ferns look so fascinating when they unfurl

Seems like Murr finds them fascinating too. This is the little guy that has 'occupated' our house since early February. Apparently, he thinks this is his home. I haven't been able to trace any owners, so I guess now it is.

Our spring has been very cold. I do believe the world is trying to get rid of us humans for mistreating her. Weather and natural disasters have been so awful everywhere. But it still is a beautiful place to be.

greens look so vibrant in rain... the ferns are fascinating - sounds funny to say they look alive while they unfurl... but you know what i mean...

I love that Murr's eyes are shining green like the ferns....

This is a lovely spring treat. Rain makes spring colours glow. We haven't had any rain for months and I long for a nice washing of the garden. I can imagine how welcome your rain feels.

Renate, If I could only send your way some of the rain we have received...over 12 inches just in April. So strange. I agree each spring we do seem to get to much or too little...whatever happened to just right?

We are having just the opposite...flooding rains at this point.
Your greens are beautiful and the flowers are so gorgeous! It will be a while till I see some flowers here. I always love your photos of your garden Renate!

Hello, Renate!
Sounds like so many of us have been getting lots of rain. It was rainy here today too...then the sun came out!
Your sweet Murr is a cutie.... I wondered what happened to him. Yes, it seems as if your Home is his Home too. And he couldn't have asked for a better one!
