finished necklace

As I mentioned the last time I posted, I was working on a new 'prayer' piece. Finally finished. This one is something more of a prayer flag. I wanted to create something archaic and rustic, yet delicate ans somewhat precious. The focal is counterbalanced by the delicate wire wrapped beads and pearls that form the chain and dangles.

Runes from the top:
ehwaz - journey, progress, change
laguz - vitality, the ocean, water, artist
wunjo - harmony, joy, happy conclusion
inguz - spiritual path, inner fire, solidifies the reached goal

absolutely perfect... i love how you balanced the whole piece in the ways you described, that can be so difficult to do... the colors you have integrated are just gorgeous - ethereal and yet grounded...

This is lovely Renate! There is a calmness and softness about it. Love the movement of the bead chains and the contrast of the fabric. Would wear it in a heart-beat!

S/R- interestingly this reminds me of the Tibetan prayer flags - the movement of the flag sends yet another prayer off into the universe. A very strng piece to wear. Go well. B

xoxo

I love the rustic quality to this piece, but yet the beads and colors actually give it a sweetness. I think it reflects life so well, how we have to balance it each day. Lovely!

It's really beautiful, Renate. It's been wonderful to see it evolving into such a peaceful and serene finished piece. A real journey, and I hope it continues it's travel to a loving home.

A question - can you tell me which resin you use? I've been working with pebeo crystal resin, but it's so slow to set and really runny, so not the easiest stuff to use.
