Mended hearts

I have continued work on my "mended heart".

Loosing a bit of silk stuffing.

View of the reverse side.

I have been quite obsessed with this heart and below you can see where that has taken me.

Mended hearts
Don't we all have one of these?

The work involved in repairing a broken heart. It looks detailed and time consuming-just like real life. I love these.

Indeed, Renate, we mostly do all have mended hearts. We couldn't have done much living otherwise, could we? These are beautiful and the care you have put into them is just lovely.

Oh my Hermanita,

We really do mend. But slowly ever so slowly. Be patient with yourself. The mending can't start until you give yourself permission to grieve first. Write to me when you have time dear little sister.

Oh but I truly must have one of your hearts. To me they are so much more beautiful then any shiny bobble can possibly be!!

Those are wonderful. And I agree. No matter how happy we are with our present lot in life, there's a mended bit somewhere. Many mended bits in my case.
