Sunday = flea market - brrrrr

Although the thermometer says it is "only" minus 5°, it feels much, much colder. January is not a good flea market month even when the weather is sunny, but with the gloomy grey weather and the cold, there was even less going on. Not many sellers braved the cold and even less buyers (or maybe just less lookers...). I didn't take any pictures of the flea market itself today, it was too cold to get the camera out. Wasn't much worth taking a picture of, either. But my perseverance did pay off - I did manage to find a couple of treasures.

some lovely old secret keepers

some wonderful old buttons - just look at the gorgeous brass filigree!

some more great vintage rhinestone pieces

My cats have all got the right idea - it is winter, time to go into hibernation...

Casanova

Kiki - yes, she has buried her face in the towel...

I feel like joining them...

I'm in love with your keys! They have a lovely and quite elegant shape. I'm just up and thinking maybe I should take a clue from your kitties and go back to bed. Cold again here. BTW, it did not rain mud but the wind did knock down heaps of branches. Stay warm!

I don't know how you handle that cold. I'm in "sunny" Arizona where it is rainy and 50 degrees and I am freezing!!! I feel spoiled. Your market finds are great, especially the buttons.

You are quite the brave heart Renate! But you have some great goodies to show for it. I can't tolerate the cold too much, so I would never do it, but I like to sleep on Sundays!!
Your cats are too cute! My mini dachsund does the same thing, covers himself entirely, I can't understand how he breathes! Have a warm and toasty day my friend!

What great finds! I went to an indoor flea market a few weeks ago and I couldn't find anything. I think it must be a skill, finding the diamond in the rough. I love the keys and buttons etc.
Your kitties have the right idea during the cold winder days...

Old keys are the best. Imagine what they might have been used for and who cherished them. Your kitties are a bit camera shy. :)
