I'm still here...

I have been neglecting you all terribly. Guess maybe the rain is getting me down. To say nothing of the unseasonal temperatures. It has been raining since we got back from the sunny Mediterranean Isle. And it is not warm. In fact, we have been having so much rain, that some areas of Bavaria are in danger of serious flooding.
Not my area, thank goodness.
But you didn't stop by to hear me whine about the weather (and I really don't want to whine, because even though it may not be pleasant, it is still moderate weather and not a natural catastrophe), so I will share some photos of flowers and random pieces of creativity that I have indulged in lately. Really, I have been doing things. Not just moping!

The following 4 pictures are some jewelry bags I made, using vintage and new materials. They were alot of fun and I can definitely see more of these in my future!

The first amulette I made - I ended up making another to give Max.

A ring I made last week - of copper, brass, filigree, silk rod, sari silk, organdy and vintage velvet.

Just for me and just for fun.

Remember that forged iron paddle I showed you last week - when Max was forging? Well, he turned that piece into this knife. Yes, I think we can call it a knife. Although, machete also comes to mind. It is big, primitive, raw. He even carved the handle himself.

 Iceland poppies, full of raindrops.

Work in progress - some random creativity.

I hope you're not in for the summer we had here last year.... we had 2 months straight of rain, REALLY... June and July were days on days of soaking, torrential rains. I was at my wits end. I didn't think I was that sensitive to lack of sun, but after 2 months without it, I was a crazy person! And the garden was a mess.

Lovely bags and blessings of warmth and sun to you!

i really love your pouches - and that ring is fun and happy and wonderful! we shall talk about those! i love that the machete has become handcrafted with a handle made just for you... but the work in progress? about dreams? really connected - i just made a ring with a quote from shakespeare about dreams... i love when this kind of thing happens...

Your bags and ring are very pretty. Bright colors make things better. I sympothize with the weather we have had a lot of thunderstorms here.

Love all the green in your bags! They look so soft. Esp. love the green and orange one! I love the texture of poppies, like paper. That yellow one is a great photograph, with the raindrops. I found a "Himalayan" poppy for my mom once, it was blue. So cool.

Oh my goodness hermanita!!!

What beautiful pieces you have created. Your muse must be working over time. I love the little gift bags!! I really like the idea of hand made art gift bags for the jewelry you sell. It's such a nice thank you to the customer I think.
