Sunday - but not a flea market post

"All the leaves are brown, and the sky is grey..."

Well, the leaves are not all brown, not really. But the weather has turned, it has been drizzling for 2 days and the temperatures dropped to around 8°C (around 46°F). Drab cold weather. I am glad we have the wood all stacked in the shed. The cats have all decided to turn into house cats again. There is something so cozy about seeing a cat curled up, happily asleep.

While it is Sunday, there were no really interesting flea markets taking place today, so I decided to stay home. Sorry - no flea market treasures today!

But I can share a couple of new pieces with you.
A necklace featuring one of Nan's (Spirit Rattles) beautiful ceramic hands. I combined it with bone, new jade, picasso jasper and a resin rose bead, all in muted shades of aged ivory to match the glaze of the hand. And, of course, a vintage mother of pearl button.

You might remember I brought home some moss samples a couple of weeks ago. Well, I was playing with resin and a couple of moss fronds found their way into some copper cups. Somehow, these make me think of mairedodd's inner sanctum.

Like a puddle of clear rain water in the woods, with submerged moss.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday!

Wunderschön, Renate - vor allem die Copper cups haben es mir angetan. Klasse Idee mit dem Moos.

Renate, These are great! I'm glad you're staying creative, enough though by all indications you should curl up with a cup of hot cocoa. 46F is way too cold for this time of year! Love the necklace a lot!

No flea market photos but many beautiful things to see ! Love your necklace and its soft and creamy colours, and the lovely pendant and ring made with copper, moss and resin, that's a beautiful idea. They make me thinking of what we call in France the "bol à conter" (bowl to recount).

I love the ivory colored necklace with the vintage button. It is much to cold for you to be at a flea market but I'm glad you are keeping busy. Have a good week.

these are stunning -
i love how you took nan's hand and surrounded it with neutral colors... an assemblage of treasures and textures... i love how the rose and button give it a vintage feel while other components enhance the earthy side...
and the mosses in resin - superb! i absolutely love these pieces - and who can resist copper and green together? not me!
beautiful work renate - as always...

Both the wood being stacked and happy sleeping kitties also bring me contentment! I still have a few hours of stacking left to do, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I, too, think of Marie Dodd with the moss and copper.
Nice.

Being surrounded by woods as we are, these moss cups are so perfect for telling a bit of mother nature's story! Looking at them is like looking at the woods floor on a sunny day after a rainfall. Delightful.

Love the textures and colors in the necklace! The button, the carved rose and the olive green bead are a perfect touch. Love the long carved cylinder too--the whole piece feels good on the eyes! Your moss is wonderful in the resin--the green color seems enhanced by it! So perfect with copper.

oh i love those hands, i even love the simple fact of their pointing downwards. and you matched it's mood and coloring perfectly- that hand was made for that necklace. But the moss in the copper is pure inspiration. The bright copper with the bright green, the strength of the metal and resin with the delicacy of moss. Lovely.
I wanna see some sleepy kitties now, though.
