A nice little vintage charm bracelet.
A vintage rosary crucifix that opens up in the back - I have never seen one of these before.
And this - this is soooo unusual. It is supposed to be the tip of an armadillo tail. I wouldn't know - there aren't any armadillos in my neighborhood. But it is definitely a very cool find!
Wishing everyone a wonderful Sunday - however you choose to spend it - enjoy it!

S-one of these days I have to make it over your way and visit those flea markets - you might have had slim pickings - but such unusual things - the crucifix with the hidden compartment - very unusual and cool. And an armadillo tail - just weird. Create well with your stash of stuff. B
I have never seen anything like that crucifix either. I wonder why it was made that way and how it was used. And the tip of an armadillo tail, very unusual, even strange :-)
I've never seen a crucifix like that either. I wonder if it was meant to hold some relic. Yeah, I hate with vendors are grumpy ... it makes you not want to reinforce bad behavior for then again when you find something you must have ... better not to cut off your nose to spite your face!
Such cool finds Renate! Can you just imagine the crucifix holding a bit of some loved one's hair, or a small bit of cloth with love potion on it? or a healing herb blessed by a saint? Oh the stories it could tell.
Are there armadillos in Europe? I thought they were only smashed flat things one found in the south and southwest here in the states! HA!!
Thanks for visiting my blog "for like forever" as they say. You give me such encouraging words on my art. We artists need that from one another.
Love the charms bracelet! And the crucifix is a fabulous find as well, very neat! As for the tail...that's just plain 'ole bizarre!
I love seeing your flea market finds! Thanks for sharing!
Love all of these Renate! The crucifix is wonderful! Very strange with the armadillo, but I bet you can make it wonderful!
Great finds! Looking forward to seeing what you make with the tail.
i've never seen a crucifix like that, very cool. and the armadillo tail, very strange indeed.
Renate, you find the most unusual items at the flea markets! They seem to be more antique markets than anything. Just wonderful!! Hope you are enjoying your summer!! Love, Silke

Hello Renate
I enjoyed your finds as always.... you always find the good stuff, whether it is something classic or unusual (the armadillo tail...what will you do with that??). :-)

I am terrible keeping up with all my good friend's blogs..I see I am missing so much!
Unusual pieces for sure. I have never seen a Rosary cross like that before.
I am BLOWN AWAY! I HAVE ONE! I have never seen one before, either.
I did a little post with what I know about mine. I included a link to your post. I hope you don't mind. I am not sure what tagging is. We will have to compare our final creations. That would be so fun. :)
