...looking out my back door

Well, actually, it is the front door. But this what I was enjoying this morning...

The kittens seem to be enjoying themselves hugely, after a large breakfast. I find their games surprisingly gentle - I remember my cats being much more rough when they were this size - and all the more surprising, given their fierceness during meals - growling, hissing, claws out, jumping in the bowl to defend it from the siblings... already they are much more steady on their short little legs.

Oh. My. Gosh. They are so cute. How nice that they have a safe home to play like this, and food to fuel their fun.

I always wish there was a shot that would keep kitties kitties so they would stay in that cute playful mode forever.

Sweet... oh, so sweet! We have a cat, he's nearly 11 years old, but still acts like a kitten. :o)

So sweet!

Interestingly, last night we saw a gorgeous (and big!) black and white cat just moseying along the back yard. Our indoor cats about went nuts and tore the blinds down trying to get to it!

these photos are dangerous - good thing the atlantic ocean stands between you and my kids! of course, our shelters are so overloaded that kittens with all the medical services are 2 for $50 (which never happens) and adults are $5... their innocence and enthusiasm for life is just so beautiful...

Kittens are so cute, I'm sure they are fun to watch. It certainly looks like they have gotten healthy, you must be taking good care of them.

I'm home I'm home!!I'm finally home Hermanita!!!

I can't even begin to tell you how much I have missed you!!!! It's soooo good to read your voice!!!! By the looks of it you have had a very busy summer albeit butt puckering cold!!! I won't share with you our whining over the the heat and humidity but I'm willing to share a bit with you if you will share a bit of your cold with me. :)

Oh my look at all that kitten goodness. Way to cute. So does your city have a trap and release feral cat spay program?? Might be a bit of a solution for the ever growing cat population. They will be eating you out of house and home soon!

Come visit when you have time, I'll be sure the sun is out for you! :)

I was wondering how your little friends were doing, glad you shared an update. They are so sweet with the most incredible markings. I have always had a cat my whole life and can not imagine my life without felines in it. I am so glad you are taking care of the little wanderers.

Renate, love your sweet pictures - especially the second photo - that one is amazing ( I could see it on a greeting card). It's no surprise the cats love your house the best! :-)
