another mended heart, work in progress and sign of spring

I made another mended heart. Can't seem to get these off my mind. And I am loving the wire as thread...

This is a piece I am working on presently. Now, what do you think this is going to be? Any guesses?

This is a sign that spring can't be far off. Yes, they are birds. But the special thing is - these are starlings. Starlings migrate. So this means, they are coming back. Sorry the photo is not so good. But if you click on it to view it larger, you should be able to make out the lovely markings on their feathers.

Oh I love that copper heart and the way you ran the "laces" through it.
Starlings are a sure sign of spring, I haven't seen any yet. Although I saw a couple of flocks of geese flying north, but that's hard to go by as there are a lot of farms that feed these guys. I feel spring in my bones today though, the sun is shining and it might hit 40!

I really like the mended hearts..a lot! The wire used for mending the heart looks like real thread..the loose tension of the weave..very nice

The mended heart is wonderful. I love it. Who hasn't been broken at least once? I'm not sure about your other project, but I'm loving the colors of the pearls! Happy almost spring!

Love your heart too dear Ren, and the beautiful way of the wire trough the holes, it seems to be so simple to do, alas not... great work.
The colorfull mother of pearl "rosary" is so lovely, so for me, something for prayers.

I love the heart, too, and the laces! We are going above freezing today (37F) so the snow might start melting! Rain on Monday - lots of water!
