Well, depending on where in the world you are, it may still be summer. Here, in Southern Germany, it is definitely not. The Oktoberfest was opened yesterday (for the 176th time) and when I go outside, I can see autumn. No, not creeping up on me. It is right in my face. It is time to go on a photo safari; there are rose hips and red and black berries and fall colours to capture. Maybe this afternoon - the weather looks promising today.
A wild vine, getting into her autumn robe. What a spectacular colour!
Raindrops on a spider's web. It was raining when I took this picture, so it was hard to get the web visible on the photo. The light wasn't really so good.
But this is the season of early morning (to afternoon) fogs and there will be many webs dripping with "diamonds" to photograph. Amongst other beautiful subjects.

Renate: Beautiful pictures! I love Fall but not what follows...brrr! I like postings on Sundays that reflect Mother Nature and creation. Thanks for sharing a little bit of your world.
Liebe Renate, your photos are so beautiful! We are seeing signs of fall as well, but it is still hot outside, up to 30 degrees every day... Soon though, we'll have fall and then the most wonderful winter where we can be outside every day! I can't wait!! Happy Sunday! Hugs, Silke
How, beautiful. I love autumn. We are not quite there yet but the mornings are very cool now. The spider web is fantastic and I love your description of it. Renate, I always look forward to your photos of the things around you. Hugs, LeAnn
Ah Oktoberfest!! Ein prosit!! (is that right?!? lol!!! I'm not sure I spelled it correctly!).
We have Oktoberfest here in Ontario -- I'm sure you'll know that. It's held in Kitchener/Waterloo the largest German population in Ontario. My oldest is at University in Waterloo and Oktoberfest there starts October 9th...he's looking forward to the beer and the wurst!!
Fall is here as of tomorrow officially but I noticed earlier this week a few trees have turned bright orange and red already. We've been having summer weather so it seems strange but in another week both will be sympatico.
Lovely photographs!
Beautiful photos, Renate! There are just some tiny signs of Autumn around here...a few leaves are turning color. The forecast for next week include some hot days...one of 40 degrees Celsius! Yuck! Hurry up cooler weather!

Your photos are beautiful. We are having an Indian Summer here in CA. and it is very hot, not very fall like. Can't wait for the cool weather.
My Mom was German and I remember going to some local Octoberfests when we were little. They were always a fun celebration.
Thankfully we still are in Summer mode in Tennessee...Very HOT and HUMID!
Gorgeous Renate....love your nature photos! Fall is coming here, but it will be warm this week, so I like to enjoy it while it is here, because when it's gone, it's a long miserable gray 7 to 8 months of agony for me...can you tell I hate the cold!
Renate, So beautiful! And I can see the spider web! Spider webs never fail to amaze me, fascinate me. I can stare at them for hours, just tying to imagine how long it took that little spider to accomplish what it takes us a moment to accidentally brush away.
Great photos!
ooooh, the web is utterly enchanting. jeweled-up with raindrops, it's extravagant.
Renate I love seeing the fall colors from you side of the world. We are still hot and humid and very green in New Orleans. Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures.
The photos are wonderful Renate!! The red leaves' name here is Virginia Creeper what is it's common name there?? Our nights are cooling a bit and the rains are fewer. It will be another month or so until the humididy begins to drop.
I will send you my daughter's address in the morning :)

Beautiful Fall photos, Renate. I remember those days while living in Germany. It's in the high 70's still here and I'm savoring every warm day that we have!! :-)
Oh these are stunning hon! The spider web and the colored leaves - make my heart sing!! Beautiful!! My husband misses Octoberfest there - he misses Germany period I think. I hope that some day soon we will all get over that way!
In answer to you question about Halloween....yes every good witch knows. BB, Sarah
