A couple of weeks ago, Sue of Sue Beads showed us these lovely beads she made. In the comments, I mentioned that they reminded me of terrazzo, a mosaic flooring consisting of small pieces of marble or granite set in mortar and given a high polish, which (I believe) was invented in Italy.
Well, Sue thought that to be a fitting name for these very lovely beads and that is now their name. And she was so kind to offer to send me a couple. How could I refuse such a great offer?? I mean, could you??
When I got home from a less than inspiring day at work today, I found an envelope from Sue in the mailbox and these yummy beads were in there!!
Thank you so much, Sue, for these beautiful beads and for your kindness and for being so generous!!

They do look like terrazzo. What a thoughtful person to send those to you and a great way to end the day. The beads are beautiful!
Thanks Renate - I am so glad you like them! Thanks for naming them!
A lovely little pay it forward!! You came up with a very fitting name for these beautiful beads and Sue very kindly paid that forward. I love these little random acts of kindness!!! And the beads are beautiful!
they are as lovely than Sue!!
what a beautiful pair of Terrazzo beads!!
The beads are beautiful, I'm sure you will make them into something lovely.
Oh Renate these are beautiful and I can't wait to see how you incorporate then in one of your pieces!!! Terrazzo tile floors are all the rage here. No one has carpets all our floors are tile. Marble is so beautiful but very expensive :( The Terrazzo is one way to have the look of marble at an affordable price. :)
I think I must now slip over to Sue's to see what all she does have!!
