New work

I have been itching to do some painting again and this week I couldn't put it off any longer.

Believing in magic
An 8"x8" mixed media piece on canvas; including decorative paper, acrylics, ink, charcoal pencil, metal foil.
I need to invest in some new paints.

This week, I pushed my boundaries - I made my first ring! Soldered silber with a riveted copper poppy. I definitely need to practice these skills more, but I am very elated that it worked!

Painting and ring making...you satisfied the itch for painting and then you moved on to rings? Or was it the other way around? Either way...seems like one muse has been calling the other! Both are exquisite!!

Hi Renate!!

Oh how I envy your wonderful gift of painting!!! The paint brush and I have never been able to find common ground. And although I love paints, markers, pencils and have a hard time not bringing them home, all they seem to do is look sooo cool sitting in my little art corner :(

Your ring is beautiful!!!You have done a magnificent job portraying the delicate tissue like blossoms in an unlikely "hard" medium!! Bravo!! :)

oooooh you will be getting up in a few hours to slep and suffer through Sunday's flea market!! :) Have a wonderful time!! We are going to the beach tomorrow I'll eat a bit of ceviche for you if you will ohhh & ahhh for me ;)

Pattie ;)
