more S word and a necklace

It snowed all day Thursday, leaving my corner of the world looking like this.

If it was December, I would be thrilled. Now that it is March, not so much. What is even worse, I spotted snow in the air this morning. And they are predicting more this weekend. Spring - where are you????

Okay, we will just concentrate on what is going on inside the house (maybe, if I ignore the s..., it will go away). I showed you a focal last weekend, which has been finished as a necklace.

Combined with copper links and soft, pale new jade beads, that go really well with the colour of the focal.

A little faux memory necklace. I distressed the focal a bit to give it that vintage look I am so attracted to.

Beautiful necklace!! I love your use of copper wire!
As for your weather, WOW! I don't mean to brag, but we are finally having a heat wave of 50-60 degree weather here and loving every minute of it!
Hope it warms up for you soon!

For the S word, lol.Im so happy I think we are over the worst of it all.I mean worst. We had a beautiful winter with sooooo much snow, but now its spring I hope. The weather here in the states has been rainy and melted all of the 24 plus inches lol.

Renate - love the image you have chosen for your focal and the soft combination of copper with new jade...the necklace is simply beautiful.
I'm sorry about the additional snow! It seems like you are having more snow than usual this year? If it's any consolation, we're at the beach and it's chilly and rainy! :-(

It's lovely, soft, nostalgic. The snow is beautiful. But I'd rather have the former than the latter, if I'm choosing. Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment.

I'm so sorry that you are snowed in again, it must get old and depressing. But I am glad you are still able to create and the necklace is lovely absolutely lovely.

I agree, snow in March is not welcome when you are anticipating the arrival of Spring.

Your necklace is lovely, I really like your attention to detail. The rivets in each corner give the focal point a polished look. Love the image and the colors you have chosen. Beautiful! Thank you for sharing. Blessings - Julie

Ohhhhhhhhh Hermanita!!!!

If I could box up a bit of our weather to send you I surely would. Although we seem to be having a bit of winter finally this year:( But I'm sure it's far far nicer then your current weather!!

Oh I love the gentle loving way this came together for you!! You have done an incredible job interpreting the sweet, slightly sad faraway look on the young girl's face with your choice of materials!!!

Sorry about your weather. It isn't snowing here but we have been experiencing a relentless, cold rain over the past few days that doesn't even have the beauty of snow to relieve it.

The necklaces are beautiful and have a timeless quality.

This piece is one of my favourites of yours. I love them all but this one? Something about it just "sings".

I'm sorry you've had more snow with a little more predicted. I'm sending lovely thoughts of spring your way!! xo

This is lovely, so lovely. But funny, I thought of your late snow as I saw the beads and they way they lay on the table!
I'm hoping we are over the snow and are just having cold rainy weather now. Yuck. Our white dog is not staying very white very long after his bath!
